Default some advice needed ?

i have got my CSL back on road and i need some advice on a few things ...

so i am sorry if this in the wrong section ...

What coolant should i use ?

and should i use a full coolant ( IE not diluted ) i have noticed that my engine temps are just slowly on the wrong side of 100. Which always used to sit on 100 or below.

Secondly i need to get new fast road pads and discs for my AP racing setup, where is the best place for this and what discs and pads do people recommend.

Also what brake fluid do people recommend ?

Also i want to refurb the callipers and to a different colour. Obviously would like a quality job , so where should i go ?

thank you in advance for your help and sorry if i have come off dim.

after i get my air bag recall done im going to go to Gareth at Bartlett of every ones recommendation.

If you are suffering from coolant issues, it may be that the radiator needs a flush (especially if it has been standing idle for long periods).

I'd use a 50/50 mix giving that (and to quote John Snow ) "winter is coming" .

I personally use Pagid RS29s in my APs, but these are a more track orientated pad (but really good on the road as well). Martin from MS Motorsport (on here, click the trade banner above for contact details) can do good deals on these, but they are expensive if you're never going to use the brakes hard.

If that is the case, then Ferodo DS2500 are okay, but they do not tolerate heavy use, but then again they are almost half the money of the Pagids.

With regard to discs, replace the APs with the Performance Friction items. Use the search feature - the company that sells these has them in stock and is still doing the deal for CSL owners .

Again the fluid is based on use. Standard BMW will be fine for road use, but if you're venturing on track - a litre of Castrol SRF is £49 and is the best brake fluid money can buy.

As to refurbing the calipers, there is a thread on here from a while back about a company that can do this (and they do an amazing job). You should be able to find them from the search feature. I plan on getting mine done in yellow this year .

Gareth is the man and can fit all the above for you .

If you go down the Ferodo DS2500 route, I might know someone who has a front and rear set for APs.

Never been out of the box

They are OK for road use but Ffs don't use them on track

All valid in put from Mike R.

I have a set of AP OEM pads front and rear if you are interested. I understand they are more than capable for road use with zero noise.
