I was told by my local dealer (Williams Group) who supplied the car originally, that they will have the original owner on their system and that he will most probably receive the letter.

Neil I received my letter and I'm the fourth owner. It's a safety recall linked to the dvla database.

So earlier on today I spoke to BMW (GB) Customer services on (0800 325600) and I have been informed that these Airbag recall letters are being sent out in small batches... hence why not everyone has received theirs yet.
While I was on the phone to BMW I also confirmed with them that I am registered as the current owner of my Cecil on their database and that both of the recall letters have been posted to me today. We'll see
