Default M-track Steering wheel Button?

Hi, just settling into the CSL now, but would not mind a little bit more info on the M-track Steering wheel Button.
Does it work in the same way as the M Dynamic mode in the later E9X M3s?
Thanks Tom

When you press it you turn into a racing god!!!

As far as I am aware it allows more slip, like a halfway house between traction on and off.

I am sure someone will come up with the percentage. Great for road use.

From bmwmregistry.com :-

What is the M Differential Lock and how does it work?
The M Differential Lock, fitted as standard equipment to every E46 M3, is an advanced version of the traditional limited slip differnetial. Though still entirely mechanical in operation, the M Differential Lock is activated when there is a difference in rotational speed between the two rear wheels. This difference pressurizes a viscous silicon fluid, which then operates a multi-disc clutch that directs more power to the wheel with the greatest traction.

Use Mtrack for the first few trackday laps then turn off DSC completely. It soon holds you back if your on it.

Not a bad mode for wet, if your not a drifting God that is.
