Default KW Clubsport - adjusting camber

I'm considering buying some KW Clubsport with top mounts and was wondering how easy (or not) it is to change the camber at the track?

Having seen others with Turner top mounts, I've seen how easy it is to adjust them as you only need to undo the three main nuts on top of the turret.

However, looking at the KW top mounts you have to access the allen bolts on the top mount itself and I'm guessing they can become obscured at a certain amount of camber meaning that you've got to undo the top mount completely first, set camber, then refit the mount.

For those who own or have owned KW CS with top mounts, is the above about right? Cheers.

Hi Tommy,

I have the KW clubsport's and yes, you have it right and it is a pain in the ass! Pretty much have to undo the 3 x 13mm nuts holding top mount to the strut housing. As you start to go over around 1.75 deg neg then the bolt heads gradually become inaccessible as they get pushed 'in' to centre of car and therefore are covered by the strut housing/body shell.

Only way I can do it is dropping the whole strut and undoing the adjuster bolts while I have it 'hovering' in the arch while supported by the jack. Will be spending some time just measuring and marking the camber with paint marker on top mount before going back to the ring this summer.

Other than that, great shocks. Damping is spot on, even manages control of the uprated springs on Scottish pot holed roads.

Slacken the 6 13mm nuts on top mounts. Slacken the 4 on the strut brace.

This will then give you nearly 1 degree of camber adjustment.

Takes 2 mins with a trolley jack.

Set your toe on the outer settings, then once at track you add the extra camber and get a touch of toe out in the process too.

Sound advice. This is exactly what I do.

Shim will tell you I'm still slow, and he's probably right.

I never judge. In my books even Yanto is fast

You need to slacken your lock nut
