There are 2 ferries a day

Depart 9am arrives 16:45 (then 3 hour+ drive)

or

Depart 11:15pm arrives 7:45am next day

So we can either get the Thursday night ferry along with a few beers or get the Friday morning ferry and not arrive in Gronigen until gone 8pm...

People can still work on Thursday then head to the ferry that evening....

Overnight gets my vote

I can take the second contingent, head out Friday night ferry arrive Hook Sat morning and drive to Papenburg for lunchtime Saturday.

I don't mind getting waisted and drifting

How far away from Papenburg is this mythical town of 18 year olds all horny and boozed up?

A two hour blast in the morning, drift day then 3 hour blast to Spa would be a long day so best to be in Pap Saturday night.

Saying that I'm up for either, Friday night out, blast round the local roads Sat on the way to Pap then up early and fresh Sun. Or as Darren so relevantly put it go 'Dutch' on the Saturday night.

I'll be getting the tunnel, can't be doing with 20 knots for hours on end.

Were starting to get there now

Thursday night Ferry, arrive Groningen late morning/midday Friday, spot of lunch and get out on the lash.

Recover Sat morning, late breakfast/brunch and head to Pap Sat afternoon.....

Drift day then head to Spa and try to get 200mph on the Autobahn....

Starting to sound like an epic trip.....
