If anyone has this problem, then hopefully this may be of some use.
I got the two new spats/splitters from BMW this morning, and the fit is actually worse than the reps! But better quality, although like a matte appearance So made some templates, used aircraft grade aluminium for the bases, and slightly thinner aly for the supports. All this is hidden, and does not move when in place . First one, and the better side Second all riveted and fixed. First one fixed And back on Gave me a chance to get new arch liners, all new bolts throughout. New screen wash filter (had one anyway) and treat the two E12 bolts. Still think the bumper is such a sh@ design!! Thinking about getting a vorts one, and look out for a complete unbroken original as well. |

I did wonder why they were a matte finish.
Have you seen this before? O thought it may have been a coating they apply, or a different lacquer for them Will phone the dealer tomorrow if they are not supposed to be like that. I took one out the box and thought "wtf is this" but after seeing the other one was the same, thought it must be like that. |

I will call and see how many they have left. They are the newer ones with two drilled holes and two marked holes (to be drilled if you want more fixings). And will check the date code on the boxes. |

Na they are a weird finish on them. Certainly not shiney like all the performance CF bits I had for the 92.

Um, looks like they have not varnished them, defo take them back as they are not cheap.
The rear diffuser should also be like the roof. |

Will see what they say, but a bit weird, as I'm sure they had different date codes, so were a while between manufacturer
