As for the CSL i have seen only one in Münich on the road in 5 years and that was at BMW Group at Max Diamand Strasse. It had the M KW 4087 license plate which was one of the press cars. Anyway you should have seen people reaction when it passed on the road, it was like "hey theres the legendary car the best M". All im saying is that the CSL is a much more unique special car then a gt3 imo.

+1 not been in a gt3 since the 996, but the bog standard 997 & 991 are just boring, no spence of occasion even on track. Are the gt versions that much better?

I would keep the CSL if you want to give a GT3 a go, just in case. 996 for a more analogue experience (no DSC/PSM or other aids) and a 997 if you are after all the electronic nannies/safety kit.
