Hi Danny

I am not sure these would fit an E46 or E90.
For starters the rear dampers are not the inline model.
Not sure about the Mcpherson as well, they look very short.

They are from the E90 WTCC cars all ex Schnitzer, Rod lengths can be altered to suit.

Hi Alex,

To run a shorter rear coilover is not
a major problem just require ''extended''
hangers, same basis as the Intrax rear
coilover ect

Fronts, unscrew the rod end housing at the
tops and fit 'extension' rods.
ie] increase length of damper rod
Reduces unsprung weight and with the
correct extension you can play around with
ride height and use the same ''Mac''
top mounts.

Having shorter rear spring is good
on Track Car, but needs a thought
out progressive spring, so that you
keep of the bump stops as much
as possible.

Not exactly plug and play, but no
re-inventing either.

Regards,

The Gorilla.

Martin I am not 100% sure here but I know the following.
The bmw ms catalog does not list a non inline TTX40 damper (rear).
My dampers are the bmw ms ones (with a bmw part number in an ohlins box).
Therefore it could be the case that the schnitzer cars ran a different setup with external piggybag reservoir. I dont know how it would fit in the rear suspension ( I havent seen a schnitzer 320si so . Dont know).

Danny I agree with all.
Its just a bespoke setup like any TTX implementation on a bmw I know this very well.

Martin if you have the ohlins part number I could shed some light.

We are having the Schnitzer mounts made as we have the CAD drawings, they allow the top eye to be shimmed over for more accurate Camber adjustment, Pics when there done
