As has already been said, it is a little hit and miss. It is such a brilliant atmosphere though with so much in the way of modified and I modified classic and standard cars though. If it is too busy I just sit at the Devil's Diner and drink coffee and wait for it to calm down.

The weather on the way over here today was fabulous. Let us just hope it stays like that for the next four days.

I stopped TF days 4 years ago - a couple of near misses and the fact that you are not insured made the decision for me. Closed car only trackdays for me.

Well it was chaotic here yesterday and definitely supports Das Chin's thread title. There were far, far too many cars here all trying to get their ticket's worth. They should really think about partial refunds so that drivers are not so desperate to get on as the day comes to a close. All the car parks were full including the lower field and road leading to Nurburg ( incl the sloped incline opposite RSR).

Due to a foggy start I did not bother going over until about 1130. I got on but it was like the M25. On top of that there were four orange flag areas. My wife said the track was closed as soon as I got on. A green motorbike and black e36 M3 at Adenaur Forst, something else at Kallanhard, a GT3 RS before Brunchen (checking his engine bay) and then the bright green Focus RS ( French ) that came off just before the mini Karussell. He was spoken to by the police afterwards although I am not sure what for.

Anyway long closures exacerbated the situation and as soon as it opened Rush Hour meets Too Stupid, Too Furious resulting in more crashes and closure. Anyway, I played the waiting game with eighteen laps still to take but then so did a lot of others. It opened at 1830 and I squeezed in two still busy but just about acceptable laps before closure.

Up side is today the sky is blue with scattered and thin cloud.

More to follow........

Pip
