Seats
It must be possible to secure the driver's seat fore and aft adjustment mechanism in two or three different positions.* On electric seats the motors must move the seat fore and aft.
.
Which the side mounts allow .

That is just saying that if the seats have fore and aft adjustment, they HAVE to have locked positions. The seat can still be fixed in one position.

On my Escort, the PPs are on the factory sliders, it's just I slide the seat forward for track work to enable any arm twirling that may be required .

The car will fail MOT here without OEM seats anyway, that's not an issue.

I would need sliders since my girlfriend drives the car sometimes as well. I'm about 6'4", the OEM seats sit just a bit too high for my liking, but they can still clear my helmet.

Does the Recaro arrangement with sliders sit lower or higher than OEM?

Still considerably lower with sliders than OeM, probably a coupe of inches

Is that with Recaro sliders on a VAC mounting, or with Recaro sliders on a Recaro E46 seat mounting console?

I'm asking since I can buy the Recaro seat mounting console from a friend, it would save me a lot of time vs. waiting on the VAC mounts.

I have Pole positions with recaro side mounts & sliders and its perfect height for me. Could maybe do with it going altitude lower because of cage now but it would be too low without the sliders.
