Default Recaro Pole Postion - advice on seat mount

Hi all,

I've just bought a Recaro Pole Position seat to fit in the CSL, it comes with the Recaro side plates, but I've been advised the Recaro sliding seat mount will put the seat too high.

Any alternatives? I've looked into VAC-motorsport mountings, these seem to work but I'd like to avoid ordering from USA as I'd prefer to have the seat and harness installed asap.

Someone like Thorney of Geoff Steel should be able to advise.
Duty payable on US imported parts is prohibitive!

I made my 1st floor mount and it was perfect.

For the seat I've just installed (Recaro SPG) I ordered up the Vac mounts for it.
I also use the Recaro slider and if anything it feels a little low.

Judging from most experiences, VAC seems the way to go then! Thanks...

Porker - I run full Recaro set up with PP's, FIA side mounts, floor mounts & sliders. Never thought I sit too high. If you were to ditch the sliders you would sit even lower. Depending on your seat belt arrangements some floor mounts can be easier.

Although without sliders in theory you fail the MOT

Sliders may be overkill, but you need to be able to secure it in 2/3 different positions

Seats
It must be possible to secure the driver's seat fore and aft adjustment mechanism in two or three different positions.* On electric seats the motors must move the seat fore and aft.
