Chaps,

After a rather abrupt/rude letter received a few weeks ago and subsequent investigation it appears CCI are dumping customers at the mo, last yr it was a 'commutting' policy issue this year its 'age'.
A phone call earlier today confirms this (for me) it seems they no longer want to insure the E46M3? A friend mentioned they had also recently dropped a large part of their Lotus business?

Its a shame their ''statistic machines'' dump enthusiasts with cars such as the CSL in with general muggles??

I have subsequently (today) gone with classicline insurance and got my quote down a third for better cover so all is good, i recommend their service, so far!

Good luck with your CCI renewal

THANX for the update PP Real shame CCI are pushing good business away in such an appalling manner. I'm with them at the moment, over 35 and don't use it for commuting so I've not experience any of the common CCI issues others are having, yet .
I've been with them for as long as I've had my Cecil (almost 4 years) and they've always been very good with me. My last years quote was very competitive @ just a shade over £300 so I grabbed it with both hands.
My renewal is at the end of October so I'll see what BS they come up with by then and let everyone know.

Matt,

They quoted me a 40+yr old requirement as cut-off this year?? :-(
Seems any excuse to dump e46M3, the chap i spoke to referenced to 'new statistics' that put the car in an unfavourable risk category? Guess the base car has become such a bargain performance tool that idiots have purchased and subsequently detroyed, incuring too many losses for Aviva to cope with??
Good Luck!

I was fairly furious with CCI, as they booted me with a days notice, and I was heading away for the weekend with the CSL when I found out.

I spent a long time on the phone with them, and in the end they said their underwriter had instructed them to get rid of all Lotus and M3 drivers under 35 as soon as their policy next runs out. There was no mention of the age 40, and no mention of commuting as a reasons.

I asked for 1 month extra cover to give me time to find another company and they wouldn't even do that. I just hope classicline don't go doing the same.

Having a small dilemma,

Tried Classicline but as the CSL will be only car until October, they aren't interested.

My current insurer will only give market value and I cant get GAP. I need to plug it with a "guaranteed value" policy for now.

Any ideas?

Hmmm my insurance is up for renewal and I am with AVIVA but am thinking of changing as rather expensive.
