Default Where does the CSL take its speedo reading from?

Just wondering for future reference, as one of the things I have found is that the standard final drive is just so LOOOOOOOOOONNNGGGGGG, that it really dulls the performance. So was wondering how the speedo would be affected by fitting a 3.9 final drive? For example, if it was in the gearbox, then it would under-read with this diff, but if it went off wheel speed, it would be fine .

Thanks in advance .

Ground speed calculated from the 4 wheel speeds via ABS

4.1 on mine and speedo was fine.

You're in the BMW world now... they'd never do anything so silly as using the box for speed signal.

Mainly cause I got the pin out and CAN info for the ABS unit

New suspension now in the same room as the car, almost got enough parts to put it back together now

NSR wheel speed sensor.

Undo that and your speedo will not work.
