I don't think it's possible to take over a warranty. Either it's pay monthly DD or pay yearly, either way it's a new contract when the previous owner stops paying.

The ideal would be to start up a new pay monthly warranty at 59,999 miles and keep the car for a while. But flip side is you will pay more for a sub 60k mile car in the first place.

I'm slightly worried that I "might" need to sell mine towards the end of the year (I'll be absolutly gutted if I do), need to free up some £££ and possibly the car might have to make way for this

Lets hope the prices rise

If the car has a warranty in place when purchased, providing it has been paid for as an annual, then the policy is transferable that's what I did with mine. Which reminds me it's coming up for renewal next month

Yes, I bought mine privately with a newly renewed annual BMW warranty and just renewed it eleven months later.

Yes agree on the annual one. Although it's not transferred as such, the warranty is on the car regardless of who the owner is. That's what happened with me too.

I don't think you can transfer a pay monthly warranty from owner to owner.

Surely you would get the rest of the month and then just the payer's details would change. I cannot see how it would or should be any different as it is just the period of 'insurance' that is different (one month vs one year).

i bought my car 6 months ago,

the prev owner had a pay monthly warrenty and he informed mondial that the cart had been sold then they give you somthing like 2 weeks to call them and swap it over to your name, no start up fees you just take over the monthly charge.

sinse then i have had 2 small claims and no problem at all.
