Carbon Air flow cover
This is what i have been doing tonight.
I got some 2x2 weve carbon fibre I wanted to do the Air feed cover on the front of the engine bay This was the base coat for the carbon fiber on then wait for it to get tacky. This is it with the carbon fibre on and one coat of clear resin. It will get 2 more coats of clear resin then 2 coats of laqure to make it shine i was thinking about adding a CSL sticker before the last coats go on what do you think ??? |

Interesting project you have there Mark, it looks like you're wrapping the existing air intake in CF sheet, not one for the faint hearted.
CA Automotive do something similar (but replacement) intake in CF for the M3 which is around £250 from memory. You should be quids in if it works the way you anticipate. They also produce a 'Ram Air' intake which couples to their interpretation of the CSL air box, link just for info - note the price: http://www.ca-automotive.co.uk/singl...wX2lkPTg=.html It'll be interesting to see when completed with 'CSL' logo

I've played with CF covering in the past, its fiddly but with practise can have some fantastic results!
Problem I had was patience especially when sanding down and adding all the layers of varnish... |
