CATDT Cornering Master Class 11/08/12
I did the CATDT cornering master class at Millbrook yesterday in the Pork and have to say it was the best driver training course i have ever done.
Our instructor was Colin Hoard and what a Gent he is, his teaching technique was very relaxed and the way he explained things i understood straight away. We learnt how the car behaves through a corner and what inputs a driver can use to settle the car and get the maximum grip out of the car. It is a very well thought out day and one that i would recommend to everyone wanting to understand what the car is doing. After lunch we went to the handling circuit and had some instruction there and all the skills we learnt were put into practice. Colin encouraged me and pushed me on to a level where things clicked into place and seem natural. I am looking forward to practicing what i have learnt further and will return to visit Colin & Jo in the future that is for sure. Great day and the weather was great also.

It is good moment when it "clicks". I got that feeling at the ring this year in my CSL. It felt good. I then had steak and got pissed |

Thanks for that review. I have been seriously considering going to one of these courses.
Do you mind telling how much it cost?

A group of six persons with 1 hour 40 minutes per person was £395 each or you can do individual days for something around £1,200 depending on whether you use your own car or one of theirs.

I paid £395 and there was 3 of us.
Not sure exactly how much driving time i got but it was enough. There was a lot to take in and digest and i was knackered at the end of the day and took it easy driving home lol. I will be going back for a re-fresh next year for sure.

Could not agree more with Bealo. Been several times with Colin. If you want some great fun try the Gymkhana with Colin. It would be a laugh seeing 8 csls.
