Cups or Super Sports??
I am attending DN event in March on full VLN circuit and need tyre advice. Assuming weather could be dodgy for time of year my dilemma is: running barely legal cups currently so considering new boots for the trip.... Do I go cup again or has anyone got any experience of the Super Sports? Thanking you in advance and hope to see some of you there.....

Would be a good compromise but if it's dry you'll wish you were on Cups.

I've driven the csl with cups and super sports at the ring. Cups are obviously the better tyre and in my experience are worth about 30 seconds a lap. The super sports are a great road and track tyre, they last longer, but are slower. The car moves about more on the super sports but you can still carry some decent corner speed.
On balance, I'm happy with the super sports - you can still have a lot of fun and I feel that I get more for my money in mileage. If you want outright pace - cups!

If i did the ring I think Supersports would be the sensible choice, but i would be for ever wondering how much faster i would be on Cups.
