Default Wheel/Spacer advice for numpty

Right ive aquired a set of 18" OZ Ultraleggera's fitted with 265 tyres. As others have pointed out it makes sense to run a square setup for track days.

They have come off a track prepped CSL and the previous owner has said he was running 10mm spacers front and 30mm rear.

Does sound like the correct setup? and where would you suggest the best place to buy spacers/longer bolts?

Can anyone (Dunc,Shimmy etc) help a simpleton please.

ideally you need et 15 ish at rear and et30-35 at front to sit the tyre between the shock and body arch so you need to find out what the et is of the rims you have bought first and then buy spacers to suit. The effective offset (et) of the rim will then go down as you add spacers

ie. et 45 rims will become et30 when you add a 15mm spacer as the face of the whel effectively gets 15mm closer to the centre of the rim

ps i have some 30mm spacers for sale

to me it sounds like the rims you have bought at et45 and NB was running them et40 front and et15 rear OR they are et40 and he was running et30 and et10

i wouldnt use over 15mm spacers on the track, not sure 30mm would be safe
