wanted buisness cd player
im after the single cd player fitted to the csl ,ive got the tape player and the sound is very poor ,so if anybody upgraded there cd system and want to sell the original item let me know

The single disc CD player won't sound any different (other than it can play CDs obviously). Tape player wasn't an option, so someone has obviously put one in from another car. The E46 CD head units come up quite often on eBay for £100-£150. You can get various iPod connectors for either type of headunit.
The audio system in the CSL is pretty compromised, just something you have to put up with unless you want to hack around with aftermarket speakers etc.

Just google for e46 radio removal and you'll find some guides. It's not hard, but you have to be careful getting the dashboard trim off.

I think BMW changed their Business head units after 2003/4 so if you buy one with the flat pins on the connector you'll need a harness adaptor to change it back to the round pins in the CSL, but i'm not 100% sure on that one. |
