Dream Garage
This time every year i always ask myself, 'Why do i not own a Landrover?'....and every year i come up with the same answers, money (lack of), space (lack of) & I don't actually need one!...Still want one though for the 1 day a year i cant get off the drive.
Other than the daily and the missus's car which live out in the cold, the CSL shares available garage space with a 205 1.9 Gti, the other P&J that i had to buy as soon as i could afford one as it's what all the 'cool kids' had when i was at school. Should i ever win the lottery or work hard enough to afford a house with more garage space and have any money left over for cars, the CSL and Pug would have to make some friends... i'm thinking for me it would be; Some sort of Twisted LandRover (a subtle one) Mk 2 Escort RS 1800 Think thats it...i'm not greedy...maybe a fastback Mustang, 67' ish, if i was forced! What am i missing? What would you have? |

What I have with a Gallardo Balbone edition.
You do need a Landy, my defender 90 is my daily drive, CSl for the weekends, E36 GT2 to store and may sell one day, Ferguson tractor for moving horse shit about and a Capri 3.7 Cologne V6 with a 4:1 for when you need a real arse out drive without getting naked. Trick is with cars as ive discovered, never sell any and only buy more when you can afford to.

They dont go up in value but they do hold it. if your not doing many miles and want to make it more comfortable an XS is the one, that what I have they have heated seats, half leather, heated screen, elec windows, a/c so are pretty usable daily. ive had a few over the years and love them.

Saw my first Twisted Defender last week in Dublin, and then spent the weekend bumbling around Devon in a 2006 Defender 90 taking no notice of the snow
Would still prefer a G-Wagen though, preferably in beige with brown stripes, checked seats and a G65 V12 |
