Default SMG Salmon relay wiring alteration TIS

Just saw this. i think its saying the relay can fail or it can make the pump fail, so if you do this wiring change and put a new relay in it could stop you having to break down or buy a new pump

I wonder if this has been done to some of our cars by BMW at services?

(might be worth making this a sticky)

Just been going through some invoices for my CSL and noticed mine has had the relay pin assignment done on a recall.

The pin assignment was done in the beginning of 2006 by the looks of things and I had a new SMG pump last year under warranty.
