Default Airbox Flap does not open

Hi!
I just realized that the Airbox lid does not open on my car.
i revved the car in stood still with sport-button activated like in this vid:

But the lid did not move.
I then extracted the actuator and tested it with external power supply. The actuator works. Then opened and closed the lid manually while measuring the resistance of the throttle valve switch. Resistance changed through the turn. So I think both parts are ok.
I realized, that, when turning on ignition the extracted actuator turns about 3 full circles, then stops. When built in, the actuator tries to turn, but it can't, because it tries to turn via the close-direction, but the lid is closed already.

Anybody has a clue where the error in the system hides?
What can I check next, to make the lid operate?
Chris

Mines got a similar issue, but intermittent. It's at your work place now waiting for you to look at when your feeling better.

I had this issue once before also and it turned out to be the potentiometer. Straight forward replacement... under warranty I may add,

Just for the record:
I changed the potentiometer as you suggested, and: NOW I know how a CSL Airbox has to sound.

Thank You all for your help.
What a wonderful forum!

Seem to remember ages ago someone saying, that there air box flap was taken off and when replaced it was put back on in the closed position, when it should have been put back on in the open position, then would not work,if that makes any sensePerhaps yours has been removed and put back wrongly.I may be talking bollox as usual.
