Default How many miles on track on a track day?

Was at Mantorp yesterday. Managed to drive 280 km on the track during the day. I think that's the most I've done in a single day on a Swedish track. Quite often I only do half of that. How many miles do you do on a track day?

PS:
I had new cups at the front and pretty worn down cups in the back. I expected the rear tires to be totally bald, flat as a ballroom floor at the end of the day, so I brought along a set of extra wheels to get home on. But after using up almost two tanks of gas during the day the 280 km almost didn't show on the thread depth. And I wasn't holding back at all on the track, rather the contrary. The car is still pretty tail happy (square setup) but more well balanced than last year (it has a better ratio between front and rear camber this year).

A bunch of 1M on the track yesterday and a guy I know that had his quite newly bought M3 GTS on it's first track outing with him at the wheel. Wow that's a nice car! But I actually think I prefer the CSL. Especially if you consider the price. Today I'm of to Bedford and Palmer Motorsport for a full day on the track tomorrow with their GTS-wannabe and their LPM and Formula cars. Am I looking forward to it? Oooooooooohhhh yes!!!

Tends to be 150-200 miles in dry conditions. Most tracks that's about 50-75 laps

On nürburgring when it's opend from 17h to 19h in the Week I do a 11lap stint, these are about 205km, then I need to refill gas.

On Sundays, if there are not to many accidents I get to 3 stints and some laps, starting at 08h till 19t of course .

Last June, we were two drivers amd we did amazing 5 stints, changing
after every stint the driver, we used a set of Cups, new front brake pads, 1.3lt of Oil and some gas .

Last october 3thrd, I was with the same friend there and we did 12 laps all day long, but we sunbathed over 5 hours on the Döttinger Höhe...

Hi Magnust, hope the full day includes the Atom & Caterham as they are so much fun. Let us know what you thought of all the cars.

Atom: quick, light, precise, great fun
M3: easiest to drive, no surprise there
Caterham:physical but so much fun with all that oversteer

The half day I had the track was wet & dry

Just came back to the hotel after a superb day!

Atom - agree 100% with you
Caterham - yup, agree!
The Formula Jaguar and JP-LM were so nice, well balanced and forgiving to drive too (not only the M3) The speed you could carry trough the fast sweepers and high speed kinks were just amazing

Congratulations, you must have driven well in all the cars to win driver of the day. I was pleased with 2nd place on the half day

Sounds like it is worth doing the full day to drive the jag & jp-lm. How much quicker are they?
