CSL rack is a slightly quicker rack i thought, new price is twice a normal M3 rack, but std M3 rack will fit CSL from breakers yard I reckon

No it's not the same as the normal E46 M3. CSLs steering rack is unique to the CSL and the CS E46 M3.
14.5:1 for the CS & CSL compared to 15:4:1 for the normal E46 M3

Hi,

The CSL Rack is slightly quicker in the
turn ratio than the std E46 M3 Rack.

The BMW Z3 Rack from a 1.9 up to a
2.8 is also the same ratio as the CSL,
but it has to be the half steel/half alloy
casing version, and not a Z3M Coupe
either.

There is no centre steering angle sensor to the Z3 Rack.

The quick Z3 Rack is not so easy to find.

Regards,

The Gorilla.
