was that because its all wrapped up so tightly in clingfilm it restricts its movement rendering it helpless and vulnerable to outside influences?

They will gain some HP and torque but i don't know how much .
But they are not lighter (if they are it won't be much ) and the don't make the car louder . If you want sound and save some weight you better buy a SS lightweight back box .
