275 rears?

Hi, question for the gurus
I have stanard wheels and the previous owner has wanged 275's on the back. I've had the car checked over because the back end felt loose, the garage says the suspension components are tip top. Thinking it was RATB's I ordered a limiter kit too. The garage has installed the kit and the backend feels tighter, but it still doesn't feel 100%. My question is do 275 give that loose feeling when drive like you've stolen it

How much tread do they have left on them?

I ran them to try them on my old M3, once they started to wear i.e. <4mm of tread they started to make the car feel quite loose, so I ditched them and got PS2's put back on.
