Oi Garage Queens!
For those of you who store over winter time , curious to know how far you go to prepare for a long term store (say 4-6+ months).
Usual stuff of over inflating tyres/ rolling car every so often (aprox. 30 days), run car upto temp/ rolling road session (aprox. 30day), conditioning battery or even taking out + conditioning, fill fuel tank to brim etc But... Do you go as far as changing engine oil before sitting idle for the whole period? Last edited by karbonkid; 29-10-2010 at 09:16 PM. |

Mine is on a SORN from the end of this month Need to sort something out with the battery as if you leave it more than 2 weeks, it won't start. And it is relatively new, and a larger one. Husband was going to get some charger thing for it to stop battery going dead. Give it a good clean and away she goes.... that was all...

try not to leave tooooo much fuel in for a long period of time, modern day fuels leave a sediment in the bottom of the tank etc if left, almost turning to a gel
