Hi,
BMW Did make a E36 CSL. I can not remember how many, but it was not as raw as the E46, but if I remember correctly had wind up windows, alloy doors, thinner Glass, uprated ECU and some other weight saving and a few more trick parts etc. They also made 50 RHD GT, which were BR Green and Bright Red. Alloy doors, uprated ECU, and you could have different Diff Ratio etc. These were all based on the S50 30 not the 32, but made about the same power. Regards, The Gorilla. |

Red ones were the Evo Individual, based on the M3 Evo (50 Made)
BR Green ones were the GT Induvidual, based on the non Evo M3 (50 Made) They also made a GT Coupe, again BR Green, based on the non Evo M3 (356 Made) Make our CSL's common as muck

UK GTs didn't get the alloy doors either I don't think, just the LHD ones?
Red ones (sometimes refereed to as GTIIs) were a poncy run out model rather than aimed at improved performance? Azrael - Which of the GT or GT coupe was the more performance oriented of the two?
