Yellow Engine light...weird so soon after Insp 1.
Just got back from Murketts - very happy with them / excellent customer service. Definately my now preferred dealer and intend on using for future work. Had Inspection 1 and a couple of other bits (wipers / tyres etc) ready for Silverstone.
Strangely, this light came on ~40 miles into journey home. Performance was not hindered in any way. Have parked up and left it overnight. Called Murketts who said it was odd as there was nothing they found during Inspection which would have caused it, but if it persists, to bring it back for a look. Have read the other threads on this which have a variety of suggestions of causes, but since it has just all been checked, is it likely this could be a faulty light / fuse etc (i.e. nowt serious) ? Anyone had similar experience so soon after diagnostics come back ok ? Whilst the warning lights are obviously there for a reason, cant help but think sometimes one can be over-cautious..... On a more positive note, popped into Lepsons on return to take a look at the buckled wheel. Their view was that whilst they cant do anything for it and it would be an MOT fail, if it going to be used sparingly on track (which is the intention), they didnt consider it dangerous and not likely to affect steering etc...SO THE CUPS ARE COMING WITH ME ON THE 6th |

If it stays on for the next couple of days get it plugged in Ian.I would go to a local dealer, then if there is a prob go back to Murketts.

probably an o2 sensor or similar - emissions based
interestingly it seems quite common that after some work to the engine a sensor goes POP Mine did after HG done
