In car from my recent race at Cadwell
In car footage from a rather damp couple of races at Cadwell in the Golf Mk2 GTi Championship. Watch the idiot in 3rd place come past me on the grass to take out the leader (no I didn't pay him to do that either) and he is an instructor at this circuit! Trying to overtake there - numpty!

one way to take the lead
your brakes are a bit temperamental, seem to lock up very easy

drying track - it pissed it down about 15 mins before the race start, also nearly everything on these cars is standard (to keep costs down), but everyone is in the same boat so it doesn't matter. It actually quite good since it stops the people with deeper pockets getting an advantage. When all the cars are the same, it comes down to the donkey behind the wheel and car set-up.

He got 4 points on his race license and excluded from the results - which is no "real" punishment as he still completed the race out of the points and who gives a toss about points on a race license? The only effective punishment is a race ban - that would really hurt.

Yep - Mark at Saxon Motorsport runs my car for me. He is a very knowledgable chap when it comes to Mk2 Golf's - what he doesn't know about them isn't worth knowing, and they have done so much development in this championship the results speak for themselves, I've won 4 races this year and I'm leading the championship. They now run about 6 or 7 cars in the series, and they have worked on nearly every front running car now. I would definately recommend them to anyone. I'm driving their Civic Type R in the Britcar 24hr race too. If you can, pop along to Silverstone on Oct 1st 2nd and 3rd and come a say hello - they're a very friendly bunch who will be more than happy to help and caters for all budgets depending on how much you want them to do and how much you want to do yourself. Feel free to send me a pm if you to discuss anything further.
