Default 'milky' carbon door trim

Hi, have any of you found the inner door trim gone 'milky' ie a lighter shade as if left out in sun for a long period??
if so any way to get back to proper state??
may ofcourse have had some nasty household cleaner product and ruined it for life
thanks
