Dyno Mode under Group Tester One
For those of you that own one of these, here's a how-to:
After you've connected DIS to the car and ran a quick test, click right arrow to go to the next screen (there must be no fault codes, if there are any, clear them first). Then click on "Function Selection" next click "Test Schedule": next the right arrow and you'll see this screen click the right arrow again and it'll bring you here click on "service functions" Voila item 12 "Operation on roller dynamometer Click "continue" and then hold the DSC button down for 10 seconds |

The programs are obviously illegal bootleg copies - so google.
It's pretty easy to build a system actually - I personally have 3 different GT1s; First one I purchased off ebay that runs a physical clone diagnostic head; then I started figuring out how to actually build them on an IBM T30 and I can now build one quite easily. Then I started using the virtual machine versions and now I have multiple copies of different versions of DIS (from coding version v39, v44 to non coding versions v55 and v57, then there's progman SSS for coding in both version 32 and 34). These are actually quite easy to build and run - a D-CAN or K-CAN cable will cost you about 60 pounds shipped from China, or you could go the serial port route and spend 20 pounds or less. |

So today I dyno-ed my CSL in Sportec (http://www.sportec.ch ).
The guys were insisting that they can get it to dyno mode using the DSC button tricks, but this didn't happen. I set the car to dyno mode using the GT1 and everything worked fine. The car is quite strong for a STD CSL, making 370HP and 385NM. Swiss CSLs are the fastest Tom thanks for your help and clarification for the DSC button. |
