shimmy is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Dodgy dash oil level reading

not the usual -.- reading but noticed my oil level was saying 0.4L so added about 0.3-0.4 from an open bottle i had and the oil level still hasnt risen any higher than 0.4L (no change).

Drove it and left it to stand and still no change!

Decided today to make sure oil levels were not too high as i need to use the car tomorrow and HAD to watch Mark on his Self Help Video removing airbox and finding the dipstick - jeez that boy loves the sound of his own voice

http://www.cslregister.com/forum/sho...light=dipstick

Dipstick showed the oil on the top notch i.e. max 1.0L luckily

Anybody know why my reading could be 'stuck' or faulty

The long term reading can take ages to change. How far did u drive it? I've known it fair bit over 100 miles. Guess you knew that though.

Shimmy, you can get an immediate reading if you leave the car to idle and keep the sport button pressed.

Mine is anything but consistant Shim! Mine went UP to 1.1L from it's usual 1.0L, I've been driving it around since Ring/Spa trip and also done Brands and a fair few more miles on top of that and it's only just gone back down to it's usual 1.0L last week! Wierd!

As said do an immediate reading, car needs to be on the level and left to idle for a while or it'll refuse to do it and give you -.-
