Shortest Lap of the Ring
CSL let me down at the Ring
It must have been the shortest lap ever, all of 9 metres long. I pull on to the Ring at Breidscheid in first gear changed to second and got a box of neutrals Weekend over just bought a 1075 euro JK ticket as well. I rolled the car of the track into the breidscheid entrance/exit to find it wouldn’t select any gear. I got DuncanR to tow me to the garage at 40mph stone chipped my car like a pebble dash wall, Cheers for the ride Duncan. The problem started 5 months ago when selecting 4th from 3rd the gear light would just flash then it would go in. Just before I went on the Ring it kept changing from 3rd to 5th and 5th to 3rd missing out 4th altogether. I just restarted the car and the problem resolved itself. Finally the car wouldn’t select any gears at all, there was no noises from the gear box when all this was happening. Duncan changed the salmon coloured relay for his, but this didn’t solve the problem. I think it could be the SMG pump not working as can’t hear it prime it’s self on start up. Has anybody on hear have similar issues and what was the outcome. Cost etc

Gutted for you mate! Did you have sufficient cover to get you recovered home?
Nice one on the tow Duncan! What's a JK ticket by the way?

I flew home by easy jet. left the car in it's home land, the "Germans" made it let them fix it.

Sorry to hear that TS - hope you get her sorted in time for your next visit
I doubt it - the nearest BMW dealership is almost an hour away believe it or not!
