Default Snetterton TD Sunday 28th Feb.

Just a quick report from a "VERY WET" Snetterton track day from Sunday just gone.
I've never seen so much rain fall in one day. It rained from 6 am I left home, throughout the whole day and only stopped about an hour after the TD ended @ 5 pm . Good experience never the less but one I'd rather not repeat anytime soon . Aquaplaning at over 100 MPH , on the Revett Straight isn't for the faint hearted. Bealo would have been very proud. I can only imagine just how fantastic this track can be in the dry.
Few pix enclosed (first one showing the " Motley Crew " of my friends Deuche-wagons) The 928 was running R888 in the wet Mental !

Your certainly getting your winter miles in Matt

snett has one of the best wet grip surfaces I have ever driven.

In 2008 we did a wet but warmish December on Cups and couldn't believe the grip around Coram

Glad to see you getting the practice in for April

The wipers are OE "Aero Blades" as fitted by BMW Main Stealer. I bought the CSL with them on and they work really well, even @ over 100 MPH
I thought U might appreciate the Orange wing mirrors
I'm looking forward to the 28th of April @ Snett. to try out my semi slick Dunlops on my 18" 9J all round weather permitting. R888 on the Porker in the wet, were almost useless.

Well over 3000 miles since I bought her back in October '09 and four TDs already

Fair enough about " best wet grip " but with only 3 deg C and standing water, almost everywhere, it was really hard work , even with the GoodYear Eagle F1s on. I hope it's bone dry in April as I can see this being a VERY fast track, especially on semi slicks

Hmm, brave you say more like Mad but it was a good experience and a steep learning curve in car control
Looking forward to the 28th of April
