That is pretty ... although I am surprised you ran the harness bar on the rear stays rather than the main hoop? Any reason for this?

Also how come you didn't run the front section to the front towers?

I have never designed, fitted or overlooked a fitting of a cage yet, so I wanted to leave it to the pros, but none where available so Thorneys sorted it for me

It has got diagonals through bulkhead to the front struts, Its a thorney designed race cage. Although Im building a track car, I may decide to try a race if my pace is good enough, so I decided after several discussions with John that a full race build would be more suitable-plus it keeps resale value high. Only thing lacking from race spec will be fire extinguisher, and kill switch oh yeh and lack of a proper driver

The first 2 can be easily resolved ... not sure about the last thing though

Good to hear that you've gone to the front struts - be a bit of a waste having all that inside the car when all it needed to make it brilliant was to run an extra diagnal or two to the front struts!

Thought I recognised the design, had a look at one on his race car when I was down there the other day, lot of thought gone into the positioning etc. and dont forget that John went to great pains to test the design at Silverstone a while ago !! If unintentionally !
