Replacement front and rear discs - OEM fitment
Hi guys
Can anyone recommend if it's only BMW discs that can be used as replacements for OEM CSL fitment, or if there are any other aftermarket alternatives? Any experiences/price comparisons etc on these would be much appreciated Thanks in advance |

I think pf do some standard size, but the ap 356mm you are thinking of will not fit if my thoughts are correct. If you are not upgrading calipers, try standard discs/braided hoses/race fluid and pagid race pad. If not go big brake kit. |

Cheers Lawsy
My plan as budget was tight was to go for PF Zrated pads + braided lines which I had delivered last week and decent fluid on the standard discs. Car was with BMW for Inspection 1 last week, and they said the discs were in good condition. Took it somewhere today to have this looked at, and the discs front and rear are absolutely knackered, so didnt fit the new pads and lines yet. Just wondering what options there are (if any) for new discs front and back. I was unsure whether the AP ones would fit as they were bigger, but my ignorance is endless! |

stick with standard disks
PF dont do a CSL front size disk (just the smaller M3 front disk), there are other options but the disks are heavier than OEM so unless you go BBK stick with OEM IMHO |

Thats because you drive it like a pussy, give it some spirited driving for 15 minutes with heavy braking thrown in, then see if your brakes are still rumbling. Sounds just like pad deposit build up |

I think the Z4M has the same size front disk so you may be able to find one if you ask for Z4M replacement Quote:

Done it......got worse...... slight judder through the wheel when heated up. All temps the same when checked after the drive... somethings going on with them. Going to get them looked at next week. They going to take wheels off drill the holes out in the disks to get rid of what build up there is in them (not much) and general visual of underside. |
