Default Gtr alms e92

Hi,

Found these pics of the GTR ALMS cars
that are run by Rahal/Letterman.

Thats some Air Intake.

Semi Space Frame front end.

I see that BMW are trying to enter similar
spec Cars at Le Mans this year.

Expect a Porsche protest then.

Regards,

The Gorilla.

Question Looks like they are massively modified....

Hardly bare any technical resemblance to the road car???

Amazing none the less, pushing the boundries of what Club Leman officials/scrutineers will allow?!

Would love to see them sticking it to the Porsche at Lemans...in international racing Porsche seem to have lost their way some what in the few last years??

PP.

..also all the suspension front pick-ups resemble more of a double wishbone set-up??

Seems to suffer in the ALMS mainly because its the only contender based on saloon car volume? Tuff up against lower smaller sports car platforms?

Ace!

The air intakes for the engine are actually the two trumpets inside the larger ducts. Regulation restrictors. The larger ducts will be for cooling. Hope it races at Le Mans. Don't see any reason why it shouldn't. Still obviously based off an M3 and no more tricked up than a GT3-RSR.
