Had my first CSL test drive today...
It wasn't ideal, what with it being in London, at lunchtime, in the wet! But it was still worth doing.
I was a bit concerned about the seats, what with me not being the tallest bloke in the world, and having had visibility problems with buckets seats before. But that doesn't seem to be an issue, which is good. I'm still not 100% on SMG yet, but time will have to tell on that one. Any one know anything about, or have any opinions on these two Nick Johnson's got? http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/uvl...532&distance=0 http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/uvl...999&distance=0 |

There have been mixed reviews of his cars on both here and ph, I have no personal experience of his cars so cannot pass personal judgement. Consider the ones for sale on here, Hazy's is an especially nice example if black is what you are after |

Chris,
Have no expereince of this dealer, but the cars look resonably priced for the miles. IMO if they come with some sort of warranty, this has to be better than a private sale. The SMG will grow on you, especially the blip on down change!! |

I disagree. Most dealers don't know very much at all (if anything) about the CSL now. Buying private you get to speak to the current owner, and get a feel for how they have treated the car, how it has been cared for etc. You pay a premium for buying form a dealer without getting that background. A BMW Warranty is key, which you can add to the car now anyway.
