M88 CSL crops up again !
New here, and thx to Tankslapper and Nathan am considering purchasing the above, simply because it has a lot of the upgrades already sorted, however, I seemed to recall a mention of it somewhere on here previously but cant find the thread. It is still being sold by BHP (who seem to be quite nice guys)on behalf of the previous owner. There was some info which I managed to get via the cached page on the defunct mtorque site. If anyone is aware of the previous reg. or can assist in shedding any further light please feel free to reply or PM me.The Service History was a duplicate book, but all correctly filled in.
ps TS & Nath, you weakened a Company today by making me buy one of these ! |

Big marks & dents
Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the headsup,I will delay getting any "imperfections" to the bodywork done, lest during my "period of CSL apprenticeship" I should add a few more of my own !!, I can then get them all sorted when the nice weather comes ! my only previous race experience was in a "full contact" formula shall we say,and old habits die hard !! I guess October at the ring beckons TS ! Getting prices in on supply and fit of 2 x seats,2 x harness and rear turrent stiffener/harness bar, if you know of someone doing mates rates ! |

It has been sale for ages, i guess it must be down to the bodywork issues.

Other possible reason for not selling
Englebert, the other thought that sprung to mind albeit im a newbie here, is the timing of the investment in all the extras. They were fitted almost a year ago, and came to a good few quid circa £8,000 +, obviously pushing the price of the car up should it need selling, and then what happened? the old credit crunch bit right about then, so that the asking price which was probably nearer the £31k mark, was out of range. To move the car on, the price has had to fall in line with everything else, and just their luck that a wide eyed 52 yo kid ,moi, should happen to visit the Ring last week-end, and leave it thinking "If a grumpy old (no dis Iain!) one armed geezer can do it that good, I can at least give it a bash !"... the rest is history !
ps TS, You, Nathan and Paul can sleep at mine that Bedford week-end to save some pennies...its a big bed too !! |

I would personally Duncan look at the black one in the for sale option. It's mods are better and the price is silly. I'm tempted to buy it myself!
I think we spoke last Friday actually about my CSL, which sold to a guy who called a few minutes later!
