geometry setup ? last year
Hi guys,
I went again today again to the dealer. I changed to fresh cups last week and asked to have the geometry aligned (and the wheels balanced). Well... I thought so. Wheel balance was sh1t. They had to re-do it. Geometry. Sh1t, the steering wheel was looking right (8-10 degrees). Today, I insisted so much to convince them that it's not perfect (as they were saying). I picked up the car this evening, now it's looking left (8-10 degrees again). In 1 week I went 3 times for the same thing. I got totally disappointed from the stupid dealers here and very sad with the car. My father suggested to take the car in Stuttgart dealership (since... Greece is a long way from here). I am considering not going to the Ring with the CSL but my R1. I feel like I am owner of fiat panda and not M3 CSL. Just wanted to share with you this, because everything that has to do with vehicles here is so fscking difficult. I was trying to find a sprocket for my R1 for a year and finally a friend brought me one from Greece. cheers, alexk |

that's nasty,
got mine done this morning too, but not in a Bmw dealer, just a local tires dealer, fresh cup's, and steering + geo/camber, and matching with my request, took 2 hours and drove back without any probs, happy with it for that sort of things, I don't go to bmw dealer, just my local tire dealer, it does perfectly the job.

I never trust my dealer to do the geo setup - particularly as mine is slightly modified.
I take it to Simpson Motorsport - a CSL speciallist here in the UK.

Get a decent set up on paper and take it to any proper specialist in race or road geo and get it sorted.
Or just book it into someone at the Ring. |
