Cars for sale
Hi all,any body left on here that still use there csl, Just looked on pistonheads 20 csl's for sale, about 18 low mileage cars under 60k have I missed something are BMW bringing something out to causes this rush on csl sales, or people just trying to cash in, is it just wishfully thinking on valves or are they actually selling, cars seem to be hanging about for a long time. far to many cars for sale to keep csl special and disirable imho, any honest views on this chaps

Hi select. Are csl cars sales going the same way in Germany, or are they harder to find keeping them a bit special ? Flooding the market with cars will only lower valves in my opinion

Hi Chad, basicly its the same story. Currently there are 14 up for sale apart from 1 modified RHD all are around 100.000€ with less than 40.000miles.
But i know that there are a few more seriously low mile examples (around 6000 miles) around but for whatever reasons, are currently not for sale. Back when i bought mine 3 years ago, there were around 4-5 for sale constantly. And contrary to now.. they were sold in a reasonable amount of time. Greetings Julian

Well, blimey... Is this the faint *pop* of a bursting bubble or just letting out some air? Can I get out and use mine again rather than constantly worrying about how much it's worth and whether I should sell it?

Hi Julian, from memory sure it was the same uk 3 years back apart from asking prices hike. As for selling myself and my lad really don't see anything worth trading in for, after a recent drive in amg range newer cars all seem a bit everyday driver for me..luckily cars weren't bought as investments back in 04 purely because how they looked and drove

Having very recently purchased my CSL they are clearly selling, but like a bus there are none for ages and then loads come along all at once!
I would imagine the higher numbers currently for sale are in part driven by the summer months, key car selling/buying time, but possibly its a response to a levelling off on prices following significant appreciation over the last 18-24 months, and owners thinking now is the time to bail out! I've tracked the same pattern over the last few years with my Z3M Coupe. There was significant appreciation over the last few years, but I'd say in the last 6 months there has been minimal positive movement in prices. There is one thing for certain and that is prices for CSL's will continue to rise, but the rate will likely slow, possibly for a few years, before hopefully going stratospheric! |
