Interior trim fallen off ....
I am sure someone has put this problem up a couple of years ago but could not find it on a search. I put it down to the hot weather. The 25mm wide strip of alcantara covered trim on the A pillar has dropped down/ become detached.
It seems to run from the bottom of the A pillar/dashboard along the top of the door frame and attaches to the rubber strip in situ on the body. What is the best glue to get this reattached with? Something expensive from the M division or an alternative. I am sure a few others have had this issue. Pointers welcome. Pip |

The glue that was recommended by the other member was Unibond Repair Extreme. I used it to fix my door trim.

That's a common old E46 coupe problem, the glue for that strip is poor, it melts and disappears when the car is left in the sun for prolonged periods, so you end up with the trim hanging off the car looking terrible.
I used a loctite two part resin on mine a while back, you can use things like you mentioned or an epoxy glue. I put a pair of new ones from BMW on mine a couple of years ago, was something like £150/160 a side. |

Alternatively, move to Scotland.

Thank you to all, Unibond purchased and will look at sorting soonest.
Scotland would only bring on the little midget from the Krankies, pissing rain and a total over reaction to the punishment of speeders. Not that I do of course I take it I will have to fabricate someting to hold it in place whilst the glue dries. Pip |
