Hi
I'm thinking of getting a 320d x-drive for the Mrs and to take skiing, any thoughts on the x-drive part ? Good/bad

Theres some debate whether its better or worse than Quattro - but it's better than nothing and if anyone's had a RWD beemer during snowy times - better is good.

Lots of Youtube vids on it.

just get a 320d and soem winter tyres, much better and cheaper to buy and run 95% of the time

Drive each day for two weeks, including lots of daily trips to skiing resorts every year in a BMW 540 with winter tyres.. No problem.
