This car was being sold by Amspeed.

http://www.amspeedracing.co.uk/car-detail?pid=3443

Thought about trading csl against it but too much work to make it road legal.

I did consider doing the same as yourself but managed to modify mine over time.

Which track are you planning on for your first TD?

PH Classifieds has been down the last couple of days, so nobody can view their adds.
JFI - The ebay add is £2K less than the both the Amspeed site and PistonHeads.

It seems to have everything on the car needed to make it road legal, so surely it just needs tax, MOT and insurance and that is it?

Nordschleife, there's only two barriers to worry about - the ones on the left and the ones on the right .

Met Arran who owns the garage at Silverstone a few years ago and he is a decent guy and he advised against it. I'm sure if there wasn't a lot of work he would have been keen to sell it.

Perhaps it has been crashed a few times, but providing it has it's original VIN, registering it is easy - could even get it's original registration plate.

Not so easy if it's a Cat A or B which are total losses. There's no going back from that one/two. Worst case scenario is that you can't return it to the road as no insurance company would touch it!

However it may just be that it's an M3 rebuilt to 'Original' CSL Spec, reading between the lines, there is a large amount of M3 parts included in the sale, wheels - yes perhaps, but brakes, who would put M3 brakes on a CSL?
