Hi Rob - hope you're well. You now racing the CSL?

I used a VW crafter, the earlier type engines are a 2.5L 5 cylinder engine, (much better than all the other 4 cylinder stuff, like the sprinters, transits etc). I got the 136 BHP version and then had a remap, now runs about 180 BHP, but the low end torque now is just out of this world, it is an awesome vehicle to drive since the remap. Not sure what your budget is, but if you take your time to search like I did, you can find them quite highly speced to include climate and cruise control, they all have electric windows nowadays. The crafter does have a rubber cambelt though as opposed to the merc which has a timing chain. I've never been put off too much by mileage provided it's backed up with extensive servicing. One of my old sprinters that we've had for 10 years at work has just done 350,000 miles, still on the original engine and box - our delivery driver is in his fifties and looks after it like it's his own, just goes to show - it's how they are treated.

VW Transporter blinged up with bed is the cool option or a Nissan Navaro pick up if you want a workhorse

I can without doubt recommend the VW Transporter. Ive had my 130bhp one for years now and it pulls like a train even towing my old shitter
Make sure you get a big engine one and a T30 or T32 for the heavy duty payload and you'll love it, drives like a car. And regularly eats little cars when on song, empty or not

Some good advice here, cheers! Disco is interesting. Didn't know they did commercial version. Could do with sticking Enduro bikes in so t5 probably winning, though I could consider a disco and trailer everything. I'll have to start wearing tweed with leather elbow patches.
Merc Vito sportx is pretty bling...maybe too bling
Cheers for advice gingerninja! How you doing? Nope, not racing csl. Buying ginetta g40 and doing the challenge series I think. Bye bye bank balance
