Team Dynamics 1.2 help
Morning all,
Need some help, bought maker some team dynamics pro race 1.2's. Ordered 18x9 ET30 square setup, in a daze I had my 265/35 cups fitted to them Saturday, however, have noticed on the box they are ET35 not the ET30 I ordered. The dilemma I have is, is it safe to run ET35s on the car or will I face any problems? Rimstock are quoting another 4 weeks to get ET30's to me and I am off to Spa in 2 weeks which is the reason I bought them. Bit of a nightmare, has anyone ran a square setup with that offset? Or shall I just not take them? Ta |

Obviously if they are ET35, then that will mean that the wheel will be 5mm further inset than an ET30. Given that the original fronts are 8.5 ET45, then this means your new wheels are will give 4mm extra clearance and stick out 16mm more on the front. However, the original rears are 9.5 ET27, so this means your new wheels will have 2mm less inner clearance as well as be 14mm further inset. Even if you had got ET30 on the rear, although you would have gained 3mm clearance, the wheel would have still sat 9mm further inset, due to the reduced width over standard. This should help you work it all out: http://www.1010tires.com/Tools/Wheel-Offset-Calculator

9J and 265 is quite tight which is not good.
Either put 15mm rear spacers or better order new wheels. Probably 9.5J and ET30 will be best. |

My rears are 9.5j et15 so if they were 9.0j they could be et21.25 for same clearance all with 265/35/18 cups
If you run 15mm spacers on the rear you will have effectively et20 so should be ok. 12mm might be a bit tight. All dependant on your suspension as its the strutt you are hitting. Fronts might be tighter. I run et37 front and have to use 3mm spacers to clear the strutt., plus I lift my spring platform with a smaller helper.

I researched it all for my own benefit for when I fitted spacers to mine.
I also deal with offsets all the time anyway .

Best offset for pro race 18x9 is et25 with a 10mm rear spacer
So with et 35 you will need a 10mm front spacer and 20mm rear, and they will be perfect. Et20 rubbed on front arches. Et 30 where a little inset on front.,so I had them make me et25. All with 265 35 18 Tyres. |

i don't run any spacers on the ET20 square setup and it feels spot on, high speed cornering was brilliant at the ring - very neutral. although with the CSL you can easy run some spacers on the back with the rolled arches as Lawsy mentioned above that was running CSL roll bars / Nitron N1+ with spires tune |
