Anyone had one? Things to look out for? A mate is looking at getting one.

Suspect the gearbox might be the achilles heel?

I like them more than the M5. Runnng costs are disgusting as you would imagine! Single figure MPG round town. Gearboxes are actually very good, however be prepared to replace clutch & flywheels anywhere from 40k. There is a Vanos oil feed pipe inside the engine casing which can fail, quite expensive to replace. A clacking sound on start up is a sign this has failed.
