CSL Airbag warning light gremlins and cut wires ????
Hi everyone. My airbag warning light has come on.
I'd driven approx 4 miles and stopped. With no warning lights. When I came back to the car I pulled the passenger seat forward then slammed it back down. Drive off and now the lights been on since. I've had all the under seat connectors apart.tried lining them but its still on. The light does come on initally when you put the ignition on the it gos out for a second and comes back on. Strange. When I bought the car the light came on on the test drive. The garage fixed it with a new DRIVERS seatbelt tensioner. I've noticed that there are a total of 4 wires in the plug to the drivers seat. Someone has previously cut the 2 yellow wires out so are now out of circuit. Strange ! Can anyone shed some light ???? Thanks

I have a feeling that it latches on, and might need to be reset via the OBD port somehow, even if the fault has been removed?

Hi I've forgot to mention that i've plugged the car In to a ODBII reader and there were no fault codes present. I tried the erase codes but still the light stayed on.

Cheap generic fault code readers are shite.
If the lights on there will be a fault. Likely you just pulled on a plug under passenger seat, as stated it needs fault code erasing to get the light out, provided its just a stored fault and not current. |

So I gather its a latched fault . That needs reading and/or erasing . Has anyone used the BM TECHNIC lead and software ?
