Default paddle problem

Recently, every so often the upshift paddle hasn't worked. Maybe a couple of shifts, then fine again. Do you think this is simply a matter of dirt around the switch or does it point to the microswitch starting to fail ?

How easy to swap out the microswitch ?

Take switch out and give it a clean up with electrical cleaner. Making sure everything is sitting just right.
